A lot of people out there still remember the ASUS Eee PC 1215N. ASUS will launch this 12.1-inch netbook in the US market very soon. You can see that ASUS will start shipping the laptop in the States on August 23rd, 2010. The price will be for less than $500. The Eee PC 1215N has a 1366 x 768 pixel display. It also has a 1.8GHz Intel Atom D525 dual core processor. There is the latest nVidia ION graphics with the nVidia Optimus technology for automatically switching between the low power Intel graphics and the higher performance nVidia graphics.

A lot of the public has been waiting patiently for Asus to bring the Eee PC 1215N mini-laptop with next-gen NVIDIA ION graphics to the US. It seems that you might have to wait just a little bit longer. Engadget reports that Asus will start shipping the laptop in the States on or around August 23rd. A lot of people can't wait until next week, but they have to take what they can get.

 

The Eee PC 1215N will have a 12.1 inch and a 1366 x 768 pixel display. It will also have a 1.8GHz Intel Atom D525 dual core processor. The latest NVIDIA ION graphics as well as NVIDIA Optimus technology is for automatically switching between the low power Intel graphics and the higher performance NVIDIA graphics. These draw more power and reduce your overal battery life.

 

It is a fact that ASUS has showed off another one of its upcoming multimedia netbooks. The netbook is called the Eee PC 1215N. This mini laptop sports a 12-inch 1366 x 768 display. It also has a 1.8GHz Intel Atom D525 dual-core processor. There is also the NVIDIA ION graphics card, a 1GB RAM, an optional 250GB or 350GB hard drive. A webcam is there so that people can communicate over a long distance with audio and video. There are the WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, a USB 3.0 port and an HDMI port. Pricing and release date are still unknown right now.

 

The Asus Eee PC 1215N is very powerful. It is as powerful as any Intel Atom powered notebook can hope to be. It has a dual core Atom D525 processor. It also has NVIDIA ION 2 graphics. This means it should be able to support multitasking duties. It can also support HD video playback. It is possible that you can also get in some 3D video gaming while you’re at it.

 

The Eee PC 1215N isn’t shipping yet. The folks at Netbook Live managed to get their hands on a pre-release unit.They have posted a detailed review of the laptop on the web sites.

 

It is a fact that the new notebook looks like previous 12-inch Eee PC models. The Eee PC 1215N has a matte case instead of a glossy one. The reviewer is also very impressed with the notebook’s multitasking capabilities. This is thanks to its dual core processor with support for hyper threading. This means you will actually see 3 CPU meters in the Windows Task Manager. The computer also did a good job of automatically switching between integrated Intel graphics and the higher performance NVIDIA ION graphics card as needed.

 

The combination of the Atom D525 processor and the next-generation NVIDIA ION graphics is a winner. The net book scored 2671 on the 3DMark06 benchmark. This is more than a thousand points higher than the Asus Eee PC 1201N, which has an older dual core Atom 330 processor and first generation NVIDIA ION graphics. The notebook is expected to sell for under $500, because it is quite cheap.
